John George Marampeas was born in 1948, in Neoxwri of the Messinian Mani.
He attended the high school in Kalamata and studied Physics and Mathematics in the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki. After having served the military, he was placed in 1976 in the Platsa High School as a teacher and principal until 1992. Since then and until 1998 was served the Kardamili High School as a principal.
He was member and chairman of the Agricultural Association of Neoxwri from 1982 until 1997 and from 1990 until 2000. He also was member of the Supervisory Commitee of the Union of the Agricultural Associations of Messinia and member of the Commitee of the Oil Industry from 1990 until 1994.
He was candidate as a Prefecture Councilor in the team of the ever memorable Panagiotis Foteas during the first elections for the Prefecture in 1994.
He was member of the Commitee and Vice President of the Development Agency of Mani S.A. for the management of the community programme Leader II for the agricultural development of Mani from 1996 until 2000 and served it as President from 2000 until 2002.
He remains as a Mayor of Municipality of Lefktron since 1999.
He is married to Mirsini Pifea, teacher and has three children.
